Do you want to work in a socially important role at a varied and developing workplace? We are now looking for three maintenance technicians!

The role of maintenance technician

As a maintenance technician in the Pipeline Network at our company, your main tasks will be planned and corrective maintenance of the pipeline network and associated water and wastewater facilities. This includes supervision, troubleshooting, inventory, repair work, and constructing service lines for new customers. The work is performed individually or together with employees at Vakin and contracted contractors.

You will also participate in the development of routines within the work area. On-call duty may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a upper secondary education in construction and civil engineering or equivalent work experience. You have experience in earthworks and civil engineering or similar work, as well as basic computer skills. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and hold a Category B driver's license. Experience with water and wastewater piping, as well as training in safe excavation or road work, and a Category BE driver's license, are considered meritorious.

To succeed in the role, you need good collaboration skills as you will work closely with various colleagues at Vakin. As a person, you take initiative in your work, can adapt to changing circumstances, and have patience in your work. You follow established routines and methods to ensure a safe and secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Other information

The positions are three permanent full-time positions with start dates as agreed. We may apply a probationary period.

As we are a socially important operation, an approved security clearance is required to access the position in some roles. As part of our security work, the final candidate for these positions will, after approval, be subject to a background check and a security interview.
