Do you want to develop the operating theatre care of the future together with colleagues and fellow managers? The Anesthesia, Operative and Intensive Care Clinic at the University Hospital (Anopiva) is now looking for an engaged ward manager for Operation South, with a main focus on orthopedics, spine surgery, hand and plastic surgery, as well as maxillofacial surgery – where leadership, collaboration, and patient safety are at the center.
Anopiva is the largest clinic at the University Hospital in Linköping and in Region Östergötland. The clinic is organized into sections – the intensive care section, Operation North, Operation South – as well as the sterile technical unit, and has a total of just over 500 employees. Our goal is to provide high-quality anesthesia and operative care as well as intensive care for citizens in Östergötland, the region, and nationally, with patient safety and quality in focus. Job Description
As a ward manager, you are responsible for operational, economic, personnel, and work environment issues. You will share leadership responsibilities, involving close collaboration with current ward managers in the operating department. You will also collaborate closely with the section heads for operations, who are medically responsible, as well as with other ward managers and section heads at Anopiva. Together, we drive and develop operative and intensive care activities forward in the best way for our patients and employees, as well as for the clinics we collaborate with around the patients.
Work Group
The work group consists of nursing assistants, assistant nurses, nurses, and specialist nurses within anesthesia and operations. The ward manager also collaborates closely with section heads and other ward managers at the clinic and is part of the clinic's management group, which implies close collaboration across the clinic's different parts. Competence transfer and development take place together with the clinic's employees, among other things, on training days and workplace meetings.
About You
You have education relevant to the assignment at a minimum of upper secondary level. Experience from operative activities is meritorious, as is leadership experience and/or leadership training.

You have good organizational skills, the ability to structure and collaborate. You have good communication skills and show good judgment towards patients, relatives, and colleagues.
Application and Employment
You will be offered a permanent full-time position in your primary profession. The management assignment is a time-limited appointment of four years.
Before employment in a patient-oriented role within Region Östergötland, you will be required to fill out a health declaration.
