Within the ILS Design & Technical Support Department at BU Gripen, we work on developing the maintenance system, both regarding new development and maintaining our various Gripen systems. We also support our Gripen users with technical support in close collaboration with the rest of the development organization.

The role of Area Manager for ILS Design E/F includes both personnel and operational responsibility. You are responsible for an area with approximately 45 employees, where your role involves managing three section managers. Your role entails having overall responsibility for the department's commitments, with the primary task of providing the prerequisites for a functioning maintenance system for our Gripen E customers to operate their aircraft. As Area Manager, you are part of the ILS Design & Technical Support Department's leadership group, which covers the development and management of the maintenance system for Gripen C/D & E/F, as well as technical support for our customers.

Your profile

We believe that to fit the role, you need:

• A basic technical education (civil engineer/university degree in engineering or equivalent).
• An interest in working both operationally and strategically, driven by the organization achieving its goals and deliverables.
• Being a non-hierarchical team player who gladly shares experiences and knowledge in our leadership group.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience in driving operations (e.g., as line manager, project manager, or team leader).

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, citizenship requirements may apply in certain cases.
