Then you might be the person we are looking for at our counseling clinic at Årjäng Primary Care Center. We offer an exciting workplace within primary care where you will have the opportunity to work independently and collaborate with other professions.

Your Workplace

Årjäng Primary Care Center is part of primary care, which is the foundation of healthcare in Värmland and offers care at all stages of life. Our patients receive assessment, investigation, treatment, follow-up, and rehabilitation depending on their illness and symptoms. Eight out of ten patients are fully treated here.

Various professional groups work here, including general practitioners, district nurses, and other specialist-trained nurses, for example within diabetes, asthma/COPD, dementia, and heart failure.

Your Responsibilities

You conduct assessments and treatments for mental health issues and refer to other levels of care when necessary. As a counselor, you primarily work with psychotherapeutic treatments for mild to moderate mental health issues. To some extent, you also work with crisis processing and advisory conversations. You are also part of the medical advisory team together with other colleagues. The main target group is patients aged 18 and above.

Your work is independent but also involves collaboration with other professions at the primary care center. Collaboration with other counselors and CBT therapists exists within the western area of Region Värmland. Together with them, you also receive supervision.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker or have completed a Level 1 behavioral science education in CBT or another similar talk-therapy orientation. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

To succeed in the role, we see that you work well with others as well as independently. You are flexible, proactive, and have a positive attitude towards your work, as well as the ability to put yourself in someone else's situation.

A B-driver's license is required as there are internal training sessions in other locations.

Experience of treatment work within primary care is meritorious.
