The Jamtli Foundation, Jämtland County Museum, can be described as three museums in one location. Here you will find the open-air museum with animals, cultural history houses and agriculture, the county museum's cultural history exhibitions, and the National Museum Jamtli, which is operated in collaboration with the National Museum in Stockholm.
Jamtli has approximately 100 employees and conducts a broad museum activity with collection management, art and cultural heritage pedagogical programs, archaeological and architectural conservation work throughout Jämtland County, exhibitions, and event days. There is also a shop, café, restaurant, and a hostel. Especially in the summer, Jamtli is a well-visited tourist attraction in Östersund.

Project Manager – Develop Future Business Models for Cultural Heritage
Do you want to contribute to strengthening the long-term development of cultural heritage in Jämtland County? We are looking for an engaged project manager who wants to lead a development project focused on identifying and developing sustainable networks, business models, and business methods for cultural heritage sites and actors.
The project aims to create conditions for a stronger, more sustainable, and economically viable cultural heritage through new working methods, collaboration, and business development.
About the Assignment
As the project manager, you have overall responsibility for planning, implementing, and driving the project towards set goals. You will work closely with the project's partners, build networks with relevant actors, and serve as the face of the project.
The assignment involves both strategic and operational work. You need to be able to turn ideas into action, create engagement, and ensure that the project delivers concrete results.

- Have documented experience in leading projects and people with good results.
- Are a skilled leader who builds trust and gets different actors to work towards common goals.
- Are a natural network builder with a well-established contact network in the region.
- Are a very good communicator in speech, writing, and visual presentations, and enjoy representing the project externally.
- Are proactive and operational – you get things done.
- Have strategic ability and can translate long-term goals into concrete activities.
- Have experience in business development and a clear business-oriented approach.
- Have good administrative skills and experience in project planning, follow-up, and reporting.
- Have high integrity and can act independently in the interest of the project and the partnership.
Meritorious
- Experience from cultural heritage, visitor industry, or destination development.
- Experience from innovation or development projects.
- Experience of collaboration between the public sector, business, and civil society.
- Experience of external funding and projects funded by, for example, the EU or regional development funds.

The project period is 2026-09-01 – 2029-08-31.
It is desirable that the project manager can start around September 1, 2026.
The position is 100%.
