About the Position

Strömsund Municipality's cultural school currently has seven teachers and approximately 420 students in subject courses, in addition to music play. We currently offer teaching on various instruments, singing, animation, music production, and dance. Together with our students, we are part of the municipality's cultural activities and offer our residents joy and a richer cultural life.

The municipality's large geographical size means that the position involves a lot of car travel.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to help develop our dance activities for 7–19-year-olds. You will work together with the rest of the staff at the Cultural School.

The work includes:

• Independently planning and conducting your teaching.
• Being able to meet students with different backgrounds and different prerequisites.
• Motivating, leading, and educating students in the magical world of dance.
• Planning and carrying out various projects in the name of the Cultural School together with the rest of the staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an education in dance pedagogy or another education considered equivalent.

You should be self-reliant, able to take initiative, have a good ability to cooperate, and have a great interest in working with children and young people. If you are comfortable with different genres, it is a big plus as we would like our students to try different styles within dance. If you also have knowledge of other cultural expressions, it is a bonus we would like to know more about.

Good computer skills are required for the job.

Category B driver's license and access to your own car.

Employment type: Permanent position.
