Old Theatre (Gamla Teatern) is a unique hotel, restaurant, and event venue where history meets modern guest experience. Here, we host everything from weddings, gala dinners, and corporate events to concerts, conferences, and large-scale celebrations. We are now looking for an engaged and driven Event and Banquet Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for our events and continue to develop our operations. Gamla Teatern offers conference and event spaces for everything from small meetings to large arrangements with several hundred guests.

About the role

As Event and Banquet Manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and executing our events with the highest quality. You are a natural leader who thrives in an operational role, inspires your team, and creates experiences that guests remember for a long time.

You will become a key person in the business, working closely with the kitchen, restaurant, hotel, and sales teams to ensure that every event meets the highest standards.

Your responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate weddings, conferences, banquets, concerts, and other events.
• Lead, coach, and develop the serving staff.
• Be responsible for staffing and scheduling during events.
• Maintain ongoing contact with customers from booking to the completion of the event.
• Ensure high service, quality, and profitability.
• Be operationally present during the execution of larger events.
• Contribute ideas and development to Gamla Teatern's event operations.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience in restaurant, hotel, conference, or event operations.
• Has previously worked in a leadership role.
• Is organized, solution-oriented, and accustomed to making decisions.
• Is passionate about service and hospitality.
• Has good financial understanding and planning experience.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with varied workdays.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
