Your Role

Do you want to drive the development to build up maintenance capabilities within test and maintenance systems for airborne electronics? We are now looking for a driven Platform Product Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for our platform within test and maintenance systems.

As Platform Product Manager for our automatic test systems, you will be part of Test Development, where we develop and maintain the test systems used to verify electronics and subsystems for the Gripen, Airborne Early Warning, and other advanced products. The test systems consist of a general ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) platform and component-specific Test Program Sets (TPS), which together ensure high demands on function, safety, and quality.

In this role, you lead the strategic product work and ensure that development, prioritization, and deliveries align with overall business and delivery goals. You play a central role in shaping and further developing product management and defining how we work with lifecycles, maintenance, and roadmaps for Automated Test Systems (ATS). As Platform Product Manager, you are responsible for the product's functionality and development throughout the entire lifecycle, from requirement setting and development to maintenance and phase-out.

You will work in close collaboration with test developers, systems engineers, users, procurement, and projects to ensure that the platform meets internal needs and enables efficient and scalable development. The work is varied and involves switching between technical issues, roadmap work, economic analyses, and decision-making in complex environments. You work proactively with technology choices, lifecycle management, and obsolescence to minimize risks and ensure long-term delivery capability.

Your Profile

To succeed in the role, we see that you are business-minded, have a systems perspective, and understand how technical decisions affect business, delivery, and long-term sustainability. You can combine technical competence with an understanding of the overall perspective, lifecycle costs, and product responsibility. You are accustomed to making decisions, prioritizing, and working structured in environments with many stakeholders. As a person, you are analytical and have a natural aptitude for identifying and solving problems.

You have:

• Experience in product management, technical project management, or systems engineering
• Good understanding of measurement technology, test systems, electronics, or embedded systems
• Ability to drive analysis and decision-making work where technology, economics, and business needs are balanced
• Good communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
• A university or civil engineering degree in electronics, mechatronics, computer science, technical physics, or documented experience of working with test systems, measurement technology, or test automation.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
