About SVA
Dangerous animal diseases can have serious consequences for animals, humans, the economy, and food supply. The National Veterinary Institute (SVA) is an expert and emergency preparedness authority that contributes to good animal health and reduced disease transmission between animals and humans through diagnostics, research, and expert knowledge. SVA is part of the emergency preparedness sector for Food Supply and Drinking Water. Healthy animals – secure people.
The position is located within the Department of Digitalization, Infrastructure and Security (DIS). The department is responsible for digitalization and IT (support, operations, IT security, and development), property issues regarding both development and management, logistics and internal services, as well as security and civil defense matters.
The Service and Logistics Section (SOL) is responsible for services such as the telephone exchange, local cleaning, the central reception desk, and logistics at SVA.
Your future responsibilities
We are currently looking for two employees for our operations. The positions have different main focuses: one with a focus on goods and warehouse handling, and the other with a focus on packaging and order handling. The tasks are varied and are shared to some extent between the positions based on the operational needs.
You will be part of a team responsible for, among other things:
- Packing and shipping veterinary vaccines, sampling and packaging materials, and other products.
- Assembling certain sampling kits.
- Acting as the link between SVA's departments and carriers regarding domestic and international shipments.
- Contact with our customers, both external and internal, is handled via our helpdesk system "Nilex" or by phone.
- Ongoing warehouse and storage work; deliveries and receipts are processed in the business system IFS.
- Ensuring that the goods receiving area is always staffed during working hours for the receipt of goods and samples.
- Performing internal runs.
Standard working hours are Monday–Friday 07:50–16:30 (07:50–15:50 during the period May–August).
If necessary, working hours may be scheduled from 06:45–15:35 (06:45–14:45 during the period May–August).
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- have relevant education for the position within service or warehouse work, or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- are meticulous, punctual, and accustomed to both physical and sedentary work.
- fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- enjoy working in a team but also take individual responsibility.
- have basic computer skills.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability for the tasks, such as the ability to work calmly and controlled in pressurized situations and to adapt easily to changed circumstances. We are looking for someone who is proactive, quality-conscious, and capable of working both independently and in collaboration with others.
Merits
Having experience with:
- the TA-system nShift and the helpdesk system Nilex.
- public sector operations.
- the business system IFS.
- forklift license, class A.
- knowledge of logistics regarding dangerous goods and GDP (Good Distribution Practice).
- experience in similar work for at least three years.
