Your Role

As a Technical Writer, you will create and maintain technical documentation for our advanced products and customer projects. You will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, and other related materials.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Using XML to structure and organize technical information.
• Working with UpTime to ensure high availability and reliability in our systems.
• Implementing and maintaining S1000D standards for technical publishing.
• Writing documentation in both Swedish and English.

You will be part of a team of three technical writers, collaborating cross-functionally with various departments to ensure that the documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

The position is based in Arboga.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a few years of work experience as a technical writer and possess knowledge of XML and UpTime, as well as a good understanding of how these tools and systems are used in practice. Furthermore, you should have knowledge of S1000D standards and experience in implementing them.

You have an analytical and meticulous approach to work and a good ability to take initiative to drive your work forward in an independent, efficient, and structured manner. You thrive in an environment where you can work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues to achieve common goals. A large part of the role involves communication in both speech and writing, which is why we look for excellent writing and communication skills in Swedish and English. You are also familiar with Simplified Technical English and can adapt technical information to create clear and accessible texts for different target groups.

Experience from working in the defense industry and knowledge of other relevant technical standards and tools are considered meritorious.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may in some cases entail requirements for specific citizenship.
