The Role of Meal Assistant with Us

As an employee in our pool team, you will have the opportunity to see and get to know several different workplaces and colleagues within the municipality. This is because your workplace changes depending on the needs of the meal service.

As a Meal Assistant in the pool, you will primarily be placed in a receiving kitchen at a preschool, where you will work independently. You may also be placed in preparation or receiving kitchens at schools, as well as in care and elderly housing facilities. Your tasks will include preparing breakfast, lunch, and snacks, as well as other common duties such as receiving goods, dishwashing, and cleaning.

Your Profile

You are flexible and enjoy the variety of working in different kitchens. As a person, you work well with others, are accommodating, and attentive in your interactions. You build new contacts while maintaining your current working relationships. You take initiative and often come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You take responsibility for your tasks and are skilled at organizing and planning your work. Personal suitability is of great importance.

We are looking for someone who:

• has education in restaurant/large-scale kitchen or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent
• has knowledge of food hygiene and special diets, through studies or experience
• has good computer skills
• has a category B driver's license and access to a car
• expresses themselves well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working in large-scale kitchens

We offer permanent full-time positions with immediate effect or as agreed.

We have flexible working hour agreements, and there is an opportunity to influence your working hours when the operations allow.
