The Infrastructure Department consists of the units for Operations and Service as well as Projects and Planning. The department is relatively new, and this position is located within the Projects and Planning unit.

Do you want to lead the development of Bollnäs' future infrastructure and public environments? Are you looking for a strategic leadership role where your drive for change and collaboration makes a real difference in the daily lives of residents?

We are now looking for an engaged and confident Operations Manager who wants to lead, develop, and shape our infrastructure department for future needs.

Responsibilities

As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for buildings, streets/parks, and the car pool. You lead the operations both strategically and operationally, focusing on quality, economy, working environment, and long-term development. The role involves a strong focus on change management and building efficient, sustainable structures.

You have close leadership responsibility for three unit managers, operational support staff, and a safety coordinator. The overall operation includes everyone from project managers and property managers to operational units and parking attendants. You are part of the administration's management group and report to the Head of Administration.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead, coordinate, and develop operations within buildings, streets/parks, and the car pool.
• Change Management: Drive development and change processes in close collaboration with employees and external actors.
• Overall Responsibility: Lead operations, economy, working environment, and personnel towards set goals.
• Structure and Efficiency: Create clear working methods and ensure sustainable management of the municipality's buildings and public environments.
• Collaboration: Promote and develop strong collaborations both internally within the municipality and externally.

Qualifications

We are looking for a confident and communicative leader who builds their leadership on trust, clarity, and accountability. You have a strong holistic perspective, are structured, and have a documented ability to create engagement and involvement during times of change.

Requirements for the position:

• Relevant university education or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Several years of experience in leading staff with personnel responsibility.
• Experience in successfully driving structured change and development work.
• Very good ability to collaborate and communicate with different target groups.

Merits:

• Experience from municipal or other politically governed organizations.
• Experience in leading managers.
