The Swedish National Defence Property Agency (Fortifikationsverket) is looking for two operations technicians for the Gothenburg operations district, where we work with supervision and maintenance of our properties. If you want to be part of our growth, we welcome your application!

Your daily work – contribute to Sweden's defence capability

Region Southwest's operations are carried out in Västra Götaland, Skåne, and Halland counties, and this position is located in the Gothenburg operations district. Today, there are 13 operations and property technicians based in the district.

You will work independently with the operation, systematic troubleshooting, and maintenance of our property portfolio. This involves carrying out supervision, maintenance, and upkeep measures on buildings, including installations and associated infrastructure. The role is very broad and includes work with heating, water/sewage, and air handling systems, ventilation, control, regulation, and monitoring systems, as well as protective components. It also includes customer and supplier contacts and occasional participation in various maintenance projects. On-call duty is included in the employment, and travel within the district occurs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have

• Education as an operations technician or property technician, or other education at least at the upper secondary level that we assess as equivalent.
• Several years of experience as an operations technician in property or in a similar role.
• Good ability to troubleshoot property technical installations and carry out repairs independently and in a team.
• Experience with budget work.
• Good knowledge of administrative IT support systems.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Class B driver's license.

It is meritorious to have

• Work experience in independently handling service orders, fault reports, or operation optimization, as well as performing troubleshooting in an operational environment.
• Work experience or education in SBA (Safety, Health, and Environment), hot work, water sampling, backup power, explosives, etc.
• Deeper knowledge within property technical systems.
• Experience from working in the defence sector.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. The location is Skredsvik. As a permanent employee, you will be assigned to wartime duties. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security clearance with register check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
