Your future challenge

The Quality Specialist is part of a team of three people responsible for ensuring that the company's products, processes, and materials meet relevant quality and environmental requirements, including requirements for food-contact materials and regulations for medical devices. The role involves working with management systems, customer requirements, supplier requirements, internal requirements, and various types of improvement projects. You will also be involved in development projects, machine investment projects, and certification work while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

In practice, the role involves:

• Handling customer complaints, supplier complaints, and internal deviations.
• Monitoring customer requirements and developing procedures that support compliance.
• Developing and structuring documentation and processes in our management system (ISO 9001 & 14001).
• Being involved in customer issues regarding quality, environment, and sustainability.
• Handling environmental aspects and follow-ups in environmental matters.
• Providing active support to production in quality and environmental matters.
• Participating as a quality representative in various internal projects.
• Driving quality issues in development projects, machine investment projects, and internal improvement projects.
• Working with regulatory issues related to both existing and new requirements within the business.
• Participating in and contributing to the company's certification work.

Alfapac is a smaller company, which means the role is broad and varied. You belong to a work group of three people and report to the Quality Manager.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree (e.g., quality engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, food technology, environmental technology), relevant higher vocational education (YH), or equivalent work experience. You have a few years of experience in quality and/or environmental work within manufacturing industry. Experience from the food industry or medical device operations is advantageous. Very good skills in Swedish and English are required.

You are a positive person who independently drives projects and processes forward. You have the will to understand and make things work properly. You are analytical when something goes wrong, practical when something needs to be solved immediately, structured when new routines need to be built, and pedagogical when others need to understand why. You also thrive in a role where you get to combine quality work with projects, improvement initiatives, and long-term development of the business.
