Specialist Nurse in Psychiatry / General Nurse for Specialist Addiction Care in Hälsingland

We are now strengthening our operations and are therefore looking for a Specialist Nurse in Psychiatry to work within specialist addiction care, or alternatively a General Nurse for rotation. This means you will have a unique opportunity to broaden your competence within specialized addiction care, which consists of several addiction clinics as well as an Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) clinic. Together, we welcome people who need help managing problems related to alcohol and psychoactive substances, gambling disorder, and medication dependence. In this role, you will work in specialist addiction care with a placement in Hudiksvall.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will work independently, broadly, and with varied tasks. Your main placement will be in Specialist Addiction Care Hälsingland, where you will work in a team consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, treatment pedagogues, and medical secretaries. The work is carried out in collaboration with all professional categories within addiction care and other public operations.

In the role of General Nurse, you will also work approximately 20 percent in inpatient care, which may include both wards and emergency clinics.

As a nurse with us, you will among other things work with:

• Assessment of withdrawal and mapping of addiction diseases
• Medical treatment
• Suicide prevention and structural support measures
• Telephone counseling, supportive and motivational conversations
• Psychoeducation for patients and/or relatives
• Medication management, medication follow-up, and drug screening
• Internal and external collaboration, as well as supervising students and new employees

Qualifications

To thrive as a nurse within addiction care, you need to be flexible and enjoy a dynamic way of working. The role requires that you have the ability to collaborate well with patients, their relatives, colleagues, and partners. You are confident in making independent assessments and take responsibility for driving the work forward, even when it means prioritizing and quickly shifting focus to meet today's needs.

With a calm and controlled approach, you handle challenging situations and easily create a safe and respectful reception. You listen to both patients and colleagues, are receptive and communicative, and value constructive dialogues and feedback to strengthen collaboration. You have an interest in developing care and nursing with a focus on psychiatry and addiction care.

In the role of nurse, you must:

• Be a licensed nurse
• Have a B driver's license

For this position, it is meritorious if you have previous experience working in psychiatric care or addiction care, as well as training in CBT, MI, or ACT.
