Specialist Addiction Care Hälsingland is seeking Registered Nurses for the LARO Clinic

Specialist Addiction Care Hälsingland consists of one LARO (Medication-Assisted Rehabilitation and Treatment) clinic as well as four addiction clinics. We have a close collaboration with our ward and our emergency clinic, both located in Hudiksvall.

We want to strengthen our operations and are now looking for a registered nurse for the LARO clinic of Specialist Addiction Care in Hudiksvall. Here, you will have the opportunity to work broadly within addiction care and psychiatry in an engaged and experienced team.

Together, we welcome people who need help to manage opioid dependence with medication-assisted rehabilitation and treatment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work independently, broadly, and with varied tasks. Your main placement will be at our LARO clinic, where you will work in a team consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, treatment educators, and medical secretaries. The work is carried out in collaboration with all professional categories within addiction care and other public operations. In the role of a general nurse, you will also work approximately 20 percent in inpatient care, which may include both the ward and the emergency clinic. As a specialist nurse in psychiatry, no rotation is required.

As a nurse with us, you will among other things work with:

• Medication-assisted treatment and medication management
• Injection treatment, sample collection, and drug screening
• Assessment of withdrawal and mapping of addiction diseases
• Suicide prevention as well as supportive and motivational conversations
• Psychoeducation for patients and relatives
• Telephone counseling, medication follow-up, and internal/external collaboration
• Mentoring of students and new employees

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive as a nurse within addiction care, you need to be flexible and enjoy a dynamic way of working. The role requires that you have the ability to collaborate well with patients, their relatives, colleagues, and partners. You are confident in making independent assessments and take responsibility for driving the work forward, even when it means prioritizing and quickly shifting focus to meet today's needs. With a calm and controlled approach, you handle challenging situations and easily create a safe and respectful interaction. You listen to both patients and colleagues, are receptive and communicative, and value constructive dialogues and feedback to strengthen the collaboration. You have an interest in developing care and nursing with a focus on psychiatry and addiction care.

In the role of a nurse, you must:

• Be a registered nurse
• Have a B driver's license

For this position, it is meritorious if you are a specialist nurse in psychiatry. It is also meritorious if you have previous experience as a nurse in psychiatric care or addiction care.
