Your Role
As a Junior Technician, you will become an important piece of the puzzle in our cyber operations and will be placed in the Cyber Operations Department. Your role is to be the bridge between technology and practical analysis. You will manage and optimize the systems that secure Sweden's interests and ensure that the right information reaches our analysts so they can do their jobs.

In the role of Junior Technician, no day is like the other. One day you focus on technical administration and close collaboration with our analysts, only to dig into hardware and practical testing or focus on strategic collection the next day.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Development of working methods. Contribute to improving and building simpler tools/interfaces that streamline daily work.
- Document processes and provide support to internal users and stakeholders.
- Conduct practical tests of hardware and software.
- Collaborate with analysts to evaluate results and solve technical issues together.
- Manage our technical systems for collection and ensure they are correctly configured.
Furthermore, the role may involve shift work as needed.
You have
We are looking for you who have:
- Post-secondary education in IT, technology, or equivalent.
- Basic programming skills.
- Experience working in Linux.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Experience documenting processes or manuals.
- A genuine interest in cybersecurity and/or IT forensics.
- Experience working with support (e.g., helpdesk).
- Knowledge of Bash or Python.
- Advanced knowledge in Linux administration.
- Experience with container technology (e.g., Docker).

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approx. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will undergo a security clearance in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be mobilized in times of war.
