We are now looking for a passionate chef who wants to work in a team where a service-oriented attitude and teamwork are at the center. The role includes daily work with self-control, having good knowledge of allergens and being able to account for all ingredients, ordering and receiving goods, as well as waste management. You will also assist with menu planning and inventory.

Your role in the kitchen

As a chef with us, you are an important part of the whole. Your tasks will focus on:

• You cook good, nutritious, and well-balanced food from scratch.
• You switch between traditional Swedish home cooking, modern dishes, and representation meals.
• Together with your colleagues, you create a strong and positive work climate.
• You contribute ideas to menus and develop our food concept.
• You work meticulously with hygiene, self-control, and structure.

About Restaurant Malmen SSAB Luleå

Restaurant Malmen is located adjacent to SSAB in Luleå and is a restaurant with exciting growth ahead. Currently, we serve approximately 250 guests daily and operate as a production kitchen delivering school meals to approximately 250 students.

Our offering consists of a varied lunch buffet with at least two traditional Swedish dishes, a vegetarian option, and a generous salad bar. We focus on quality, sustainability, and seasonal ingredients to provide our guests with a great dining experience every day.

You will become part of an engaged team of 6 people, a team that values diversity, collaboration, and having fun at work.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays without holidays, but weekend work may occur during special events and assignments.

Who are you?

• You are over 18 years old.
• You have chef training.
• You have prior experience in restaurant work.
• You have the ability to plan and structure work efficiently.
• Through your passion, you take responsibility for maintaining a high level of service and quality in what you deliver.
• You understand your importance in happy guests, are positive, stress-resistant, and have an easy time collaborating and communicating.
• You can take initiative and are flexible in your professional role.
• You speak and write Swedish.
• Experience with menu planning systems is a plus.
• A Category B driver's license is required.
