Job Responsibilities

As a supervisory case handler, you will be part of a team working with supervision, assessment, and information regarding the Environmental Code, the Alcohol Act, the Food Act, and the Tobacco Act. You will work with processing cases related to refrigerants and music noise from businesses, as well as handling and supervision under the Alcohol Act, but other tasks within our area of responsibility may also arise. The work involves processing incoming cases and conducting supervisory visits to businesses.

In your work, you will plan your own supervision, conduct inspections, write reports, decisions, and permits, follow up that deviations are remedied, and present cases to the Environmental and Community Planning Committee.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a relevant university education, for example, specializing as an environmental and health inspector, environmental science, or other education and/or work experience that the employer deems equivalent and suitable.

It is meritorious to have experience of authority exercise through supervision/control in the field as well as good knowledge of current environmental legislation and the Alcohol Act.

The unit includes the following areas for which the operation is responsible. The position may possibly be combined in more areas depending on experience, competence, and interest:

• Environmental protection, refrigerants
• Health protection, music noise
• Alcohol
• Tobacco and smoke-free environments
• Over-the-counter medicines and mild beer
• Food and drinking water

You are stable and confident in yourself and can distinguish between the personal and your professional role. You are comfortable with occasionally making difficult/unpleasant decisions. The position involves a lot of contact with businesses, decision-makers, citizens, and others, and it is important that you are secure in your exercise of duties and have an open attitude and positive approach. You have good ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing in Swedish, are service- and solution-oriented with professional and adapted treatment.

You take great personal responsibility and work independently while also being easy to collaborate with and contribute to the team's development. You are initiative-taking, results- and development-oriented with a good overall perspective.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the possibility of combining several legislative areas.

A driving license (Category B) is required.

A certificate of good conduct will be required for the final candidate.
