RESPONSIBILITIES

The unit is responsible for the planning and implementation of investment projects involving measures and new construction at our water and wastewater treatment plants, waste facilities, pressure boosting, and pumping stations.

The project portfolio currently consists of approximately 70 multidisciplinary projects with a wide spread in both scope and budget. What they have in common is that they are executed on order from our operations within Water and Waste, where the operations are running 24/7, all days of the week, and are central puzzle pieces for the company to fulfill its mission.

As Unit Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Leading, planning, developing, and monitoring the company's portfolio of investment projects.
  • Having personnel and work environment responsibility for ten employees. The group also includes external project managers.
  • Supervising, supporting, and developing your employees, and ensuring a good work environment.
  • Collaborating with and participating in steering groups together with responsible parties from the client side.
  • Acting as a representative in agreements and contracts.
  • Having economic and budget responsibility.
  • Being part of the Investment Department's management group and reporting directly to the Department Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you are outgoing and have an easy time communicating and collaborating with others. You build good relationships easily and have strong integrity. You are a secure and present leader who spreads energy and enthusiasm. You are receptive and coach your employees individually based on experience. It is in your nature to be structured and meticulous, while also being flexible and having a positive attitude towards rapid changes.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have the following qualifications:

  • University/College education in engineering or civil construction, or equivalent competence acquired in another way.
  • You have documented, multi-year experience in leading and developing both employees and operations.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to establish and develop good relationships.
  • Experience in handling budgets and economics.
  • Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge of the various laws, regulations, and permit processes related to public operations, the civil construction process in general, and water/wastewater issues specifically, as well as knowledge within the water/wastewater area, its technology, and processes. Experience from the contracting side is also a positive factor.

In your position, you will work with security-classified information. Security clearance and register control will therefore be conducted in connection with employment.
