In recent years, TGA has consistently ranked among the top game development schools globally according to The Rookies' annual list. The Game Assembly is hbtqi-certified and actively promotes inclusion and diversity.
About the Role
As one of our colleagues goes on parental leave, we are looking for a substitute teacher in Game Programming who will educate our students on-site at our Malmö school. We are looking for someone who can complement our existing knowledge and, together with three other Game Programming educators, drive the education forward. The role involves teaching, including preparation and follow-up work, as well as mentoring students in both game project courses and more specialized individual courses.
The Game Assembly's unique educational concept is based on the idea that students across different programs collaborate to create games, meaning you will work closely with other educational coordinators.
Who are we looking for?
To thrive in the role of an educator, we see that you are communicative and have a genuine interest in people and game development. You possess strong pedagogical skills along with a humble approach and patience. Furthermore, you have a deep interest in programming. You must have a good understanding of the Swedish language as the entire education is conducted in Swedish.
Your Experience:
- Strong knowledge of C++ programming
- Strong knowledge of linear algebra
- Experience developing and working in a custom game engine
- Experience within the games industry
- Mentoring experience
- Experience with agile work methods
We consider it a bonus if you have studied at The Game Assembly.
Why TGA?
We offer a creative, energizing, ambitious, and thoughtful environment. Working with driven and curious individuals is incredibly rewarding and developing, both personally and professionally. We are a tight-knit team where everyone has great commitment and drive, contributing in different ways based on their own experiences and conditions.
The Game Assembly strives for increased diversity and a more balanced gender distribution, and therefore encourages women, non-binary individuals, and people with international backgrounds to apply. The Game Assembly is hbtqi-certified through RSFL.
