On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for a Data Consultant to join their team in Stockholm. This is a unique opportunity for you if you want to build truly excellent data solutions, have the freedom to shape your own role, and belong to a tight-knit team where the human element is always put first.

About the role

Our client is a personal and agile tech consultancy based in Stockholm, delivering services in software development, data, AI, and cloud. They are driven by a simple but strong conviction: when you create an environment where people feel safe, seen, and free to grow, they deliver exceptional results.

This is a small, tightly knit company where every person helps shape the culture and direction. As a Data Consultant, the role is tailored to you based on your background, strengths, and future goals. You can work broadly across the entire data chain – from pipelines and data modeling to machine learning, AI, and analytics – or deepen your expertise in what you are most passionate about. With our client, you are never just a consultant on a project; you become an integral part of what they are building together.

What we offer

  • A dynamic salary model with a fixed base and performance-based bonus, a generous wellness allowance, and flexible holiday terms.
  • Become part of a flat-hierarchy team where your personal development drives your assignments.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the company's clients to transform data into real business value. Depending on the assignment and your interests, your tasks may include:

  • Building robust data pipelines, working with data modeling, and setting up modern architectures in data lakes and warehouses.
  • Developing statistical models, experimenting with AI/LLM, and deploying machine learning models into production.
  • Helping clients understand their data, ensuring high data quality, and translating complex technical solutions into business benefits.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a relevant academic degree in computer science, systems science, physics, or equivalent practical experience that has given you a strong technical foundation.
  • Has a few years (preferably around 3–4 years or more) of relevant work experience in the data field.
  • Has good knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Thrives in a consultative role with direct client contact and has an easy time collaborating in teams.
  • Speaks and writes fluently in both Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and tools such as Databricks or dbt.
  • Work with AI, LLM, MLOps, or advanced data analytics.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy role.

To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a strong inner drive and a constant desire to learn new things. Since you will be working closely with end clients, it is important that you are communicative and flat-hierarchy – you listen to the client's needs and can explain technical concepts in a simple way. You are driven by delivering quality, but you value teamwork and helping your colleagues over solo achievements.

Our recruitment process

This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's request is that all questions regarding the position are sent to Academic Work.

We apply rolling selection and will remove the ad when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so one is not needed. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to find the candidate with the highest potential for the position and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
