Solpulsen is developing an energy platform for EMS, solar energy, batteries, power grids, properties, and future AI/optimization. We are now looking for an experienced MQTT/IoT specialist to help us with the integration between an existing EMS controller and Solpulsen's own cloud/backend environment.

This is a practical integration assignment. The EMS controller already exists. The focus is to define and implement a clear V1 MQTT/API interface so that data can be sent correctly from the controller to Solpulsen Cloud.

Main Responsibilities

• Define V1 MQTT topic map
• Define payload structure for telemetry, status, alarms/events, and command ack/nack
• Set up or support MQTT broker/test endpoint
• Ensure TLS/authentication, client ID, and certificate/token flow
• Build or support MQTT subscriber/ingestion service
• Ensure heartbeat/status, offline/reconnect, and buffering logic
• Support integration with backend, API, and database
• Document interface, test cases, and technical decisions
• Support joint integration test with EMS supplier

Requirements

• Documented experience with MQTT/IoT integration
• Experience with MQTT broker, topics, subscriptions, and payload design
• Understanding of TLS, authentication, certificates/tokens, and client identity
• Experience with backend/cloud integration
• Ability to document technical interfaces clearly
• Good understanding of event-driven ingestion and real-time data

• Docker, CI/CD, or DevOps
• Experience with command/ack/nack flows
• Experience with offline/reconnect and local buffering
