RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently looking for a student assistant for Åby School. You will be responsible for a student with diabetes throughout the entire school day and parts of the after-school activities, both in the morning and afternoon.

Åby School is a small, safe, and vibrant school with approximately 65 students, where every individual has the space to be seen and to develop. Here, there is a strong sense of community – students and staff work closely together in a warm and inclusive environment where we create the best possible conditions for learning and development together.

Our staff group is small and dedicated, giving us the opportunity to build close relationships, work flexibly, and meet each student based on their specific needs and potential. This creates a secure foundation where both students and adults thrive and grow.

We are currently facing an exciting future. For the spring term of 2027, we will move into a newly built school – a modern learning environment that opens up new opportunities. The school's nature-friendly location provides unique conditions for thinking outside the classroom, where teaching can take place in the surrounding environment. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a secure and responsible student assistant who will work closely with a student with diabetes and contribute to a safe and functional school day.

Requirements

  • Secondary education, preferably within child and youth activities or care and assistance.
  • Experience working with children/students.
  • Knowledge of diabetes or a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow routines and medical instructions.
  • Good teamwork skills.

You are calm, meticulous, empathetic, and take clear responsibility. You can create a sense of security and act steadily even in high-pressure situations.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Type of employment: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, Start date: 2026-08-10 or as agreed.
