We are looking for a Project Resource for Station Buildings within the Mälarbana Program.

This is a consultancy assignment based in Stockholm. The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The Mälarbana Program is one of the Swedish Transport Administration's (Trafikverket) largest railway projects. The aim is to increase capacity on the heavily trafficked stretch between Tomteboda and Kallhäll by expanding it to four tracks.

In this assignment, you will become part of Trafikverket's project organization and work with the design and production of station buildings and station environments throughout the various stages of the project. You will contribute to developing a modern, safe, and high-capacity railway facility that meets future needs for increased traffic, shorter travel times, and improved accessibility.

We are seeking a Design and Production Manager – Station Buildings for Trafikverket's Mälarbana Program.

In this role, you are part of Trafikverket's project organization and are responsible for leading and coordinating the design and production work for station buildings and station environments in a railway context.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the design and production of station buildings.
• Ensure a safe, buildable, and reliable facility.
• Review design documentation and follow up on consultants' work.
• Participate in procurement processes and coordinate interfaces between the project's various actors.
• Monitor time, cost, quality, environment, working environment, and risks.
• Prepare estimates, forecasts, analyses, and technical investigations.
• Be responsible for administration documentation and revision of construction documents.
• Participate in and lead meetings, and collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements (Mandatory)

• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• A university/college degree equivalent to a Swedish Civil Engineer degree with a relevant specialization, or equivalent education and experience assessed as comparable by Trafikverket.
• Extensive knowledge and experience (at least 8 years) in infrastructure projects (total budget > 300 MSEK), e.g., as a design manager, construction manager, or project manager in a client organization.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the design of station buildings for train traffic (not subway or tram). The experience must be from a role as a design manager or similar coordinating role. The experience must not be older than 15 years calculated from the bid date.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the construction of station buildings for train traffic (not subway or tram). The experience must be from a role as a project manager, site manager, or coordinating construction manager. The experience must not be older than 12 years calculated from the bid date.
• Knowledge of relevant standard contracts: AB 04, ABT 06, and ABK 09.
• Documented good knowledge of AMA standards.
• Documented knowledge and experience of the client's responsibility for the working environment.
• Valid Safety and Security Training (SoS).
• Experience handling tasks regarding BAS-P and BAS-U, and holding a certificate no older than 5 years from the bid date.
• Valid driver's license, category B.

Merits

For the client, it is an added value if the consultant:

• Has relevant experience in handing over station buildings, technical equipment, and final documentation to Region Stockholm within the last 8 years.
• Has worked in partnering or collaboration projects relevant to the assignment.
• Has worked for at least 2 years as a skilled worker, foreman, or site manager in a relevant building or civil engineering project.
• Has worked with and is well-versed in Region Stockholm's technical systems and requirements for commuter train stations.
