1943 – this is when the company was founded in the outbuilding on the Sandvik farm in Kulltorp, Gnosjö Municipality. Production initially consisted of manufacturing grease nipples and later also electrical installation materials. Jobbing manufacturing has always existed as a complement, and it was not until the late 1990s that we switched to becoming a specialized jobbing manufacturer in cutting machining. Today, the company is a state-of-the-art workshop with the latest technology in terms of production equipment and business management. Sandviks is a specialist in CNC turning, focusing on long-turning and multi-operation turning. Our customers are found in the Nordic workshop industry across various sectors such as electronics, hydraulics, and offshore. We currently have 14 employees with a turnover of approx. 30 MSEK. Since 2021, the company has been part of the Hyttbäcken Invest group (80%) for active and long-term ownership with a focus on development and growth. We are looking for you who are ready to take the next step in your career! A role in a company where you, together with the team, can truly make a difference.
Sandviks Metall is a Swedish jobbing workshop with an established position as a supplier of precision parts to the Swedish workshop industry, with Öhlins Racing as its largest customer. The company is now seeking a CEO who can combine strong technical understanding with business development skills and who wants to take the company forward towards continued growth, increased profitability, and a broader customer base.
We are specialists in CNC turning, long-turning, and advanced cutting machining. With a modern machine park, high technical competence, and extensive experience, we deliver precision parts to some of Sweden's industry's most demanding customers. As CEO, you will have overall responsibility for the operations and play a key role in the company's continued development.
The role combines business development, customer responsibility, and leadership with a strong focus on production and technology. You are expected to understand the technical prerequisites of the business, drive efficiency improvements, and ensure that we continue to develop our competitiveness through smarter processes, high quality, and good delivery precision. An important part of the assignment is to develop the business by broadening the customer base and creating new business opportunities, while simultaneously leading the organization with an engaged leadership style that creates engagement, clarity, and confidence in the future.
We offer an entrepreneurial environment and will ensure that you receive an individually tailored introduction. As extra support, the current CEO, who is also a shareholder in the company, will remain in an advisory role as a board member. This gives you a secure handover with access to deep operational and customer knowledge, while you have full mandate to drive the development of the company. Through the Hyttbäcken Invest group as the largest owner, you will be part of a network of colleagues from the group's companies where you can seek support and inspiration on several levels through the exchange of experiences. The group also arranges CEO meetings and theme meetings to support change processes. You will maintain a close dialogue with and report to the Chairman of Hyttbäcken Invest, who, together with other key players in the group, possesses extensive experience within the industry.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for you who have experience from manufacturing industry and a genuine interest in production, technology, and business. You do not need to work as a CEO today; perhaps you work as a Production Manager, Technical Manager, Site Manager, or in another leading role and feel ready for the next step in your career. We view positively a post-secondary education in technology / industrial economics or similar. Experience from the workshop industry, jobbing manufacturing, or vehicle-related industry is meritorious.
You have an understanding of cutting machining, manufacturing technology, and production development with a drive to improve processes, streamline operations, and create profitable growth. With an engaged and inclusive leadership style, you create security while inspiring development and results. You have the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational presence and thrive in an environment where decision-making paths are short and the opportunities to influence are great. You master English well in both speech and writing.
Are you ready to lead Sandviks Metall into the next phase of development? Please send us your application.
