What you will do as our Product Support & Service Technician

As a support employee within security systems, you are a key person in our Technical Support team. You handle and resolve incoming support cases from customers with support agreements, and are independently responsible for 2nd line support within your product areas. You also conduct technical training for resellers and support the R&D team with testing of new functionality. The role requires a strong technical interest, good communication skills, and experience with security systems — particularly ARX.

In this role, you report to the Technical Support Manager.

Responsibilities as Product Support & Service Technician:

  • Register, handle, and resolve incoming support cases from customers with support agreements.
  • Act independently as 2nd line support within specified product areas, via phone and remote connection.
  • Assess the nature and severity of cases.
  • Conduct technical training for resellers and support the R&D team with regression testing of new functionality.
  • Visit customers for troubleshooting and support to a lesser extent.

Skills and experience required:

  • 5+ years of work experience in the security industry and experience with the ARX security system.
  • Documented practical experience in installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting technically advanced systems, as well as experience in technical support for IT products and/or products from the security market.
  • Good knowledge of IT environments, such as MS Office and case management systems — experience with Jira is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of complex door environments and/or IP communication is an advantage.
  • At least a high school diploma, preferably with a technical focus, and fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be a self-motivated person with a genuine technical interest and the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously without losing structure or quality. You have a natural aptitude for conveying technical information in a clear and pedagogical way, and you feel confident in customer contact — whether via phone or on-site. You are solution-oriented and take the initiative to independently seek information to get to the bottom of a problem. Collaboration is important to you, and you actively contribute to the team's common goals while enjoying taking individual responsibility. Since the work can sometimes be intense, it is required that you have good prioritization skills and the ability to remain calm even under pressure.
