Job Description
As a Security Coordinator, you have a city-wide assignment where you work both operationally and strategically, to give the operations the best possible conditions to handle the extensive and complex requirements placed in these areas. You collaborate with all six of the city's administrations and actively contribute to developing and strengthening security work in the organization.
The role has a special focus on physical security, while you will also provide support in crime prevention work, particularly within situational crime prevention.
The position is both strategic and operational, which places demands on your ability to switch between long-term development work and operationally close support. You work proactively, structured, and with a clear holistic perspective.
Your Responsibilities
In the role, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and following up on the city's work within physical security, as well as contributing to a strengthened security culture in the organization. Your tasks include, among other things:
- providing strategic advice and initiating and leading projects within video surveillance
- developing and supporting the operations' work in matters concerning threats and violence
- responsible for planning and conducting exercises and training measures within PDV (ongoing lethal violence)
- ensuring security requirements in procurements through qualified support and requirement setting
- being the city's contact point towards security service providers and coordinating the delivery
- producing, implementing, and following up on governing documents and ensuring compliance
A security clearance check may be required for the person appointed to the position.
Start date: September 1, 2026, or according to agreement.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have an adequate university or university college education (at least two years) in a subject area that the employer considers relevant for the position, or other expertise and work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Have experience from working with security issues within physical security, personal security, and security technology. Experience from working in public sector operations.
- Have good ability to express yourself well in writing and who, with a pedagogical approach, can conduct presentations and training for groups. You are curious and driven by the desire to develop and learn new things, while also being able to independently drive your work forward in a structured manner.
Meritorious
- We would appreciate if you have experience in producing and formulating governing documents.
Employment Type: Permanent position.
The city applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement. This position is a full-time permanent position.
We offer a workplace where you get the opportunity to grow and develop. With us, it is natural that we learn from each other and that we together create a working environment where everyone thrives and feels included. Welcome with your application!
