Markverkstad Enköping is a section within Markverkstad Uppland, which is one of eight divisions within the Markverkstad Unit (MvE) and belongs to the Army Staff. Mv Uppland currently has approximately 55 employees and operates in Enköping and Uppsala.

The workshop performs maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and delivers technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment inspection.

Main Responsibilities

As a technician at Markverkstad's Field-Tele Detail, you will perform functional checks, troubleshooting, and repairs on the Swedish Armed Forces' communications equipment. The tasks include maintenance of soldier-carried, cabin, and vehicle-mounted telephones, radio, and line systems commonly found in our ground forces. Many tasks (both troubleshooting and repairs) take place in our tele workshop. However, there are also tasks and assignments at our units' locations or in other places under simpler field conditions.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who have completed at least a two- or three-year upper secondary school with a focus on electricity/telecommunications/technology, or alternatively, competence acquired through professional experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Good computer skills.
• B-driver's license.

Merits

• Good knowledge in the field of telecommunications/radio communication as well as computer technology/data communication, and the ability to independently perform troubleshooting/repairs on these types of systems.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' tele/radio/line systems.
• Documented experience in configuration/troubleshooting of computers and networks.
• C-driver's license.
• Military work permit.
• Previous experience with fiber installations and networks.
• Experience in electromechanics.

• Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probation period.
• Employment level: Full-time, daytime – varying working hours may occur.

• Start date: As soon as possible after agreement.

The work also involves requirements for travel and service, both domestic and international. The position is a civilian post.
