About Us

Our department is an emergency department with a focus on surgery and trauma care. Care periods are often short, and rapid investigations are conducted to meet our patients' care needs and treatments. Admissions occur around the clock via the emergency reception, and for efficient handling of acute patients, we have close cooperation with other departments.

About the Role

We work in teams centered around the patients, where communication and engagement are some of the qualities that are obvious when we look for a new colleague. We work with both bedside reporting and bedside rounds for patient-centered care. For us, team spirit and collaboration are what define our workplace.

We have many specially trained nurses and assistant nurses on the department, which means you can always get help and support in various situations. The routines differ between our departments, but what we have in common is a striving for continuous development.

About You

You must be a registered nurse. Furthermore, you have an interest in people in vulnerable life situations and the ability to help others. You are creative and flexible, seeing solutions instead of problems. In addition, you are meticulous and good at prioritizing and making quick decisions. You are keen on ensuring a good work environment on the department and actively participate in this work.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Base Year, which is mandatory at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The clinical base year includes lectures, nursing guidance, and practical training at the simulation center. With us, continued competence development is a given. Lectures and training that are both external and internal, as well as training at the simulation center, are our daily routine. Our developed career development model gives you support for continued development in your professional role with us.

In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign qualifications/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish qualification/specialist certificate.
