School Nurse Wanted at Klara Östra Gymnasium!

Klara Gymnasium Östra in Stockholm is an independent upper secondary school located at Gärdet, with approximately 700 students (academic year 2026/27) and 45 employees. Founded in 2012, the school offers three university-preparatory programs: Economics, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a registered nurse with further education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse. We place high demands on independence in the professional role. Experience working in upper secondary education is advantageous, which is why we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

We are seeking a dedicated school nurse who wants to contribute to developing both their own professional practice and student health services in collaboration with colleagues.

Responsibilities

The school nurse works according to the overarching mission of the school's operations, as outlined in the school's governing documents. The role is part of the school's student health team, which includes the principal, school counselor, and special education teacher. The school doctor and school psychologist are also part of this team.

Your primary responsibilities include working proactively to promote health and prevent illness, conducting health interviews, organizing the school doctor's clinic, and performing basic healthcare interventions. You will collaborate with the student health team to further develop the school nurse role. As a school nurse, you will also cooperate with guardians and external organizations and authorities. You will work to create a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security. Documentation is done in the electronic journal system (PMO).

Student health work is heavily based on the collaborative efforts of the student health team, led by the principal. The student health team works together with other staff to ensure all students reach their goals. The student health services and the school nurse's work are central to this effort.

Interested?

The position is a permanent 90% employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months. The earliest start date is August 10, 2026, or by agreement.
