The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and healthcare interventions for these target groups. With approximately 1,000 employees and 45 managers, we continuously work to improve the quality of our services for those we exist to serve.
About the RoleThe Municipal Healthcare Unit consists of seven occupational therapists, seven physiotherapists, 24 nurses, four nursing assistants, and three rehabilitation assistants, divided into three teams. Together, they are responsible for municipal primary care in the areas of disability and social psychiatry. The unit also includes two method supervisors focused on rehabilitation and nursing care, as well as a nurse with mentoring duties, who are also part of our planning team. We are located in pleasant premises in central Borås, close to the Travel Center and with good parking facilities. We are now looking for a nurse for the LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) area.
ResponsibilitiesAs a nurse, you will work with counseling, assessment, treatment, supervision, delegation, and acute assessments. You will work as the responsible nurse for patients living in group homes, service apartments, and ordinary housing. We work in teams with, among others, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, support staff, needs assessors, and unit managers. Creating influence and participation for patients and relatives is a key focus. Documentation is done in the VIVA journal system. For you who are new to the profession or have worked for a few years and want to try municipal healthcare, we offer mentorship and a customized introduction based on your needs. We work during daytime hours and every 8th weekend. On weekends, three nurses work, one from each team.
QualificationsWe are looking for you who are a positive, flexible, and responsible licensed nurse. You should be a good organizer, independent, but enjoy working in a team as there is a strong focus on close collaboration with other professional groups. You should have the ability to make quick prioritizations and have a solution-oriented approach. Based on the transition to "Close Care" (Nära Vård), we need to develop our operations. We are looking for you who have experience or interest in the patient group. Nurse/Specialist Nurse with experience from palliative care, as well as experience from psychiatric care or elderly care. Previous experience is meritorious. A B-driving license is required.
