Specialized Rehabilitation at Karlstad Central Hospital is a unit within the Health and Rehabilitation business area. Approximately 80 employees work within the unit, specializing in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and music and art therapy.

Specialized Rehabilitation operates across various business areas and specialties at the Central Hospital, covering both specialized outpatient care and inpatient care. Around 40 physiotherapists work within our unit, providing excellent opportunities for collegial exchange and knowledge transfer.

Your responsibilities

As a physiotherapist in our specialized outpatient department for oncology, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise and meet patients at various stages of their cancer rehabilitation. The role often involves close collaboration with other teams within cancer care.

In parts of your role, you will work as a lymphedema therapist. If you are not yet a lymphedema therapist, you will be offered training. You will work closely with colleagues in oncology and lymphedema therapy, as well as with physiotherapists in other specialized outpatient departments.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. You are calm and stable even in stressful situations, acting confidently based on your professional expertise. You have strong collaboration skills and the ability to understand others' perspectives. With a holistic approach, you make well-considered assessments that consider both the individual's and the organization's needs.

Experience as a lymphedema therapist is meritorious but not a requirement, as the workplace covers the cost of training.
