About the Role

As a Welding Technical Leader, you are responsible for ensuring that the company's welding work is carried out according to established requirements, standards, and customer specifications. You act as a key link between production, quality, and other functions, actively contributing to the development of working methods, routines, and competence in the field.

The work includes both strategic and practical elements, meaning you will also participate in operational workshop work when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and coordinating welding-related activities
• Ensure compliance with welding procedures, instructions, and quality requirements
• Manage and update technical documentation within the welding field
• Monitor employee competencies, certificates, and training needs
• Handle deviations and participate in root cause analysis and improvement measures
• Work on developing production methods and efficiency improvements
• Participate in practical welding and workshop work when the operation requires it
• Contribute to a safe and well-organized work environment
• Collaborate with adjacent departments to ensure an efficient production flow

Your Profile

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have broad experience from the welding industry and want to take greater responsibility in the operation. You work methodically, have a high focus on quality, and see the value in supporting colleagues and driving improvement work.

To succeed in this role, we believe you:

• Have several years of experience in qualified welding work within the industry
• Have a good understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, and measurement technology
• Are accustomed to working with quality assurance and documentation
• Easily collaborate and create structure in daily work
• Are comfortable with administrative tasks and digital tools
• Express yourself well in Swedish and have basic knowledge of English

Qualifications

• Technical education in welding, workshop, or equivalent experience
• Experience with TIG, MAG, and orbital welding
• Certification in VT-2 and/or PT-2
• Welding technical competence equivalent to IWS, IWT, or IWE
• Practical experience in machining such as cutting, drilling, and threading
• Good skills in reading drawings and measurement control
• Category B driver's license
• Forklift and overhead crane certification
• Good computer skills
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written)

Merits

• Current welding tests for stainless steel materials
• Previous experience leading or coordinating production teams
• Knowledge of improvement work according to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods
• Experience with business or production systems, e.g., Monitor
