About the Organization

The Social Services Department operates under the guidance of the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Services Act, and the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments. The department aims to promote economic and social security, equality in living conditions, and active participation in society, while providing good care, health and medical services, and support to the elderly, people with disabilities, and others in need of societal support.

The Social Services Department consists of the Assistance Unit, the Care and Nursing Division, the Functional Support Division, the Home Care Division, as well as the Management Support Organization and the Health and Medical Services Organization. As an Occupational Therapist/MAR (Medically Responsible for Rehabilitation), you will have a role with both breadth and meaning. You will take a leading role in patient safety work within the rehabilitation area. You will be part of our Health and Medical Services Leadership Group, together with the medically responsible nurse, quality and education nurse, unit manager, and operations manager. The Health and Medical Services Organization's tasks cover ordinary housing, special housing for the elderly, and LSS/psychiatry.

Job Responsibilities

Are you a licensed occupational therapist who wants to combine patient-oriented work with a strategic assignment within patient safety, rehabilitation, and habilitation?

Here, you will have the opportunity to develop the role of Medically Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR) while continuing to work closely with patients and colleagues in daily rehabilitation work. This is a position for you who want to influence, develop, and create good conditions for safe and high-quality rehabilitation. During 2026, the MAR assignment will cover 25% of the occupational therapist's position to establish the function.

Responsibilities as Occupational Therapist:

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and follow-ups.
  • Trial, prescribe, and follow up on occupational therapy aids.
  • Collaborate with other professions to create a holistic approach around the individual.
  • Work with education and information dissemination regarding preventive measures.
  • Contribute to organizational development.

Responsibilities as MAR:

  • Establish, implement, and follow up on routines for safe rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate and develop patient safety work within the patient safety area.
  • Monitor quality and safety in operations.
  • Investigate serious incidents (lex Maria).
  • Collaborate with Regions and Municipalities on rehabilitation issues.
  • Prepare patient safety reports together with other actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Have a good ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Are structured and have an interest in quality, development, and patient safety work.
  • Are good at collaborating and building good relationships.
  • Enjoy combining operational and strategic work.
  • Have a good ability to compile, analyze, and present material, reports, and decision support for different target groups.
  • Experience of municipal work and/or work with quality and patient safety is meritorious.
  • Hold a valid B driver's license.
