The Stroke Unit and Neurorehabilitation belong to the Neurocentre at Sunderby Hospital. The ward has 13+1 inpatient beds for neurological care and rehabilitation and is located in accessible premises on the 4th floor. Adjacent to the ward are the Stroke Rehabilitation Team (SHR), the stroke clinic, the baclofen clinic, and the rehabilitation medicine clinic.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and wish to work permanent nights. You are interested in working with person-centered care and have a rehabilitation-focused approach to work. You have good communication skills and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Experience of working within stroke and/or rehabilitation and experience of working in Cosmic is meritorious but not a requirement.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are team-oriented and have an easy time building good relationships with both colleagues and patients. You are flexible and can adapt to changing work conditions, while also having good problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-founded decisions in different situations.

What you will work with

Ward 41 is staffed at night by 2 nurses and 2 nursing assistants. The goal of the Stroke Unit is to work with the entire care chain, from the acute onset of stroke until the patient is discharged, sometimes with the support of our SHR team. At the Stroke Unit, you work together with the team based on clear routines grounded in the National Board of Health and Welfare's National Guidelines for Stroke.

At Neurorehab, we have the highest level of rehabilitation in Norrbotten, where patients with spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries are treated and rehabilitated. The rehabilitation provided is at a specialist level (accredited according to CARF), and patients from across the county are referred here.

In your role as a nurse with us, you ensure the patients' medical and specific care needs are met, and then you plan and prioritize the measures to be implemented. We work with person-centered care where the patient is a clear part of the team. As a nurse on the ward, you work with both acute care and rehabilitation. In patient-facing work, you work in close collaboration with nursing assistants.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position with working hours scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Start date is by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the last application date.
