About the Organization

The Social Services Administration conducts statutory operations supported by the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Services Act, and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons. The administration aims, on the basis of democracy, to promote people's economic and social security, equality in living conditions, and active participation in community life, while also providing good care, health and medical services, and support to the elderly, people with disabilities, and others who need societal support.

The Social Services Administration consists of the Assistance Unit, the Care and Support Department, the Disability Support Department, the Home Care Department, as well as the Management Support Organization and the Health and Medical Services Organization. As a Quality and Education Nurse, you will combine clinical work with development work within patient safety in the Health and Medical Services Organization of Gällivare Municipality. You will join our health and medical services leadership group together with the Responsible Nurse for Medical Care (MAS), the Responsible Nurse for Rehabilitation, the Unit Manager, and the Operations Manager. The unit's assignments cover special housing for the elderly, LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and patients living in ordinary housing.

Job Responsibilities

The role of Quality and Education Nurse will be fully operational with coordination responsibility for the quality work performed by the Health and Medical Services Organization. The position involves two areas of assignment where you will focus partly on quality work and partly on clinical work within the operations. You will work closely with the MAS, the Unit Manager, and licensed nurses to ensure quality and patient safety at the operational level.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are a Licensed Nurse or Specialist Nurse.
• Experience in Municipal Health and Medical Services is meritorious.
• Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
• Have a good understanding of laws and guidelines within the field of Health and Medical Services.
• Preferably experience in quality development and improvement work.
• Basic computer skills and experience working with various types of IT programs as support in your work. Knowledge of programs such as Lifecare and Pulsen Combine is meritorious.
• Personal suitability is highly valued.
• Driver's License: Category B required.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanent position, 100%. Working hours: mornings, afternoons, weekends. Probationary period may apply.
