About ProCivitas Private High School

ProCivitas opened its first school in Helsingborg in 1997. Today, ProCivitas has schools in Helsingborg, Växjö, Lund, Malmö, Karlberg, Stockholm, and Uppsala. For over 25 years, ProCivitas has operated with high ambitions for both staff and students, maintaining a clear connection to the business community.

About ProCivitas Uppsala

Our school is located in green and quiet surroundings on the Polacksbacken campus with good transport links. We are also pleased to be close neighbors with Uppsala University, one of our partners. We are a smaller school with approximately 280 students distributed across the Social Science, Natural Science, and Business programs. Our staff consists of 21 dedicated employees who together create a safe and knowledge-focused environment.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs educator (specialpedagog) and want to take a central role in developing and ensuring the quality of the school's work with special support, accessible learning environments, and student health. You have experience from the later years of compulsory school or high school and are driven by combining strategic development work with operational interventions that make a difference for students and teachers.

In this role, you have overall responsibility for developing, coordinating, and following up on the school's work with extra adaptations, special support, and pedagogical assessments. You work closely with the principal and serve as a strategic support in matters concerning special needs pedagogy, student support, accessible learning environments, and pedagogical development.

You are part of a dedicated student health team consisting of the principal, school nurse, school counselor, and study and career counselor. Together, we work to create the best conditions for students' learning, attendance, and goal achievement.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Lead and develop the school's special needs pedagogical work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
• Develop and ensure the quality of routines and processes regarding extra adaptations, special support, and action plans.
• Conduct analyses of student results, attendance, and support measures to identify areas for development and suggest improvements.
• Ensure quality and legal certainty in pedagogical mappings, assessments, and action plans.
• Counsel teachers and work teams in special needs pedagogical matters and contribute to the development of inclusive teaching and accessible learning environments.
• Plan and implement competence development initiatives within special needs pedagogical areas.
• Coordinate the student health team's pedagogical work and strengthen collaboration between student health and teaching staff.
• Contribute to the school's systematic quality work through follow-up, analysis, and development of methods and support measures.
• Collaborate with students, guardians, and external actors.
• Provide support in individual student cases as needed.
