Are you a qualified special needs teacher for grades 6 to 9 with experience in successfully conducting systematic quality work within mathematics education? Then you might be the person we are looking for at Gränby School! We are currently in an intensive development phase where, together with researchers from Mittuniversitetet (Mid Sweden University), we will develop mathematics didactics. You will collaborate with a dedicated group of teachers who work intensively to find pathways to each student's maximum learning potential!

The school has dedicated and competent staff, well-functioning premises with well-equipped special classrooms, as well as a large, nice schoolyard. The school also has a complete student health team. Description of Duties

As a special needs teacher in mathematics, you play a central role in supporting individual students and contributing to the development of teaching as a whole. The assignment includes working closely with students in need of special support, through targeted interventions both in the classroom and, if necessary, in smaller groups, as well as monitoring and analyzing their knowledge development. An important part of the work is the preventive and relational work in the classroom, where you, together with teachers, create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching so that more students can succeed within the framework of regular instruction. You act as a support in planning, implementation, and follow-up, contributing with both a special pedagogical perspective and subject didactic competence.

The assignment also involves developing mathematics education at the school. You participate in collegial learning, drive questions regarding working methods and approaches, and contribute new perspectives that strengthen students' understanding and motivation. We would like you to be curious, proactive, and willing to try new paths to develop teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified special needs teacher for grades 6-9 and have extensive experience in conducting special pedagogical work with students in those grades. You also have competence and experience in conducting pedagogical assessments as well as knowledge of various screening methods. Furthermore, you have competence in systematic quality work and experience in successfully conducting systematic quality work within mathematics education. Additionally, you have competence and experience in supervising colleagues towards subject didactic development.

As a person, you are good at seeing the big picture and taking the broader perspective into account. You understand your role while keeping the best interests of the entire operation in mind in your actions and decisions. You work well with other people and relate to others in a listening and flexible manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You also easily embrace and see opportunities in new ideas, methods, and ways of working. You drive and implement change where needed.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on the war establishment (krigsplacering).

Salary Type: Monthly salary.
Employment Type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
