Storängsskolan is a school serving students from preschool class (age 6) to grade 6. There are three classes in each grade level. The after-school care program (fritidshem) has four departments.

Approximately 420 students attend Storängsskolan, ranging from preschool class to grade 6. We are currently seeking licensed teachers in wood and metal crafts (slöjd). What can we offer you?

You will work in close collaboration with grade-level teams and work groups alongside your colleagues. Together, you will design, plan, and evaluate teaching for the relevant grade levels.

Your future responsibilities

The role involves responsibility for teaching the subject to students in grades 3–6. Teaching is conducted in half-class groups. As a crafts teacher, you plan, implement, and follow up on teaching within your subject area, always keeping the students' learning and development in focus. You adapt and develop teaching based on the students' needs.

The role also entails

Keeping the student in focus. You are a secure leader in the classroom who creates an enabling environment where students feel safe to try, learn, and succeed in their creative work.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who hold a teaching license covering the relevant grade levels and subjects. You are confident and clear in your leadership and have the ability to create engagement and participation. You are skilled at meeting the diversity of all students, adapting your learning environment and teaching to each student's needs and prerequisites. Furthermore, you are structured, have a positive attitude, and are good at taking initiative to achieve the best results for our students. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is expected.

You approach collaboration with others in an open and humble manner. You have a good ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and other professionals within and outside the school. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents, such as curricula and grading criteria.
