The operations at Nyhemsskolan, for grades seven to nine, are characterized by safety, learning, well-being, and joy in work, with the student at the center. We therefore work purposefully to create trust and confidence between students and staff. This provides the prerequisites for the student to feel safe, have hope for the future, and develop their knowledge.

Nyhemsskolan is a school for grades F-9 that also houses an adapted primary school. The school is located with proximity to both the city center and forests and nature.

From preschool class to grade 9, there are approximately 550 students, and there are two after-school care departments where approximately 100 children are enrolled. At our school, students are to get the best start for lifelong learning! The operations at Nyhemsskolan are characterized by learning, joy in work, safety, and well-being. The students and their learning are in focus, and we have a conviction that everyone can and wants to develop.

We are looking for you who want to be part of our team, and we offer you one of the most important and meaningful assignments available: Special Needs Teacher (Speciallärare) for the lower secondary school. An assignment that involves organizing and inspiring joyful learning – every day, all the way!

What can we offer you?

As a Special Needs Teacher, with a focus on Swedish, you work closely with students, teachers, student health services, and school leadership to promote an accessible learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. The assignment includes both teaching and support measures at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

Your future tasks

As a Special Needs Teacher, you work both at a general level and with targeted measures at the group and individual levels. The assignment includes:

  • contributing to strengthening the school's preventive and promoting student health work.
  • working with and developing support measures and adaptations for classes and students.
  • being responsible for the work regarding action plans (åtgärdsprogram).
  • having contact with guardians.
  • contributing to school development.

Who are you?

You are a certified teacher with further education as a Special Needs Teacher and/or experience in special pedagogical assignments.

We are looking for you who are good at creating and strengthening collaborations internally and externally, as well as building new relationships and nurturing existing ones.

You are a problem solver who has the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and develop effective, feasible strategies to overcome challenges.
