About the Department
The Underwater Weapons Department (UV-dept) performs maintenance on existing underwater weapon systems in the Swedish Armed Forces. The Marine Workshops' UV-dept consists of approximately 30 employees and is part of the marine workshops with operations in central and southern Sweden. You will be part of a smaller group that performs maintenance on existing systems north of Karlskrona in Tving.
Main Responsibilities
- Preventive and corrective maintenance on existing mine systems
- Troubleshooting and repair of associated electronic and electrical systems
- Documentation and reporting
- Team leadership of the work group
- System support to the Swedish Armed Forces (FM), external customers, and UH suppliers
- Ability to act as IFTEX supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- University education in electrical engineering or data technology
- Knowledge of digital and analog electronic systems and ability to troubleshoot them
- Experience with maintenance work on mine systems
- In-depth system knowledge of mine and depth bomb systems used by the Swedish Armed Forces
- Category B driver's license
- Good technical understanding
- Training regarding storage and handling of explosive goods
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who is responsible and able to take overall responsibility for technical systems, as well as being proactive and action-oriented. You are accustomed to working both in a group and independently, find problem-solving interesting, are good at troubleshooting, and enjoy maintaining electronically advanced systems. This applies to both the latest digital technology and analog technology. You must be able to function as a team leader. You are meticulous, have a structured approach to work, and the ability to adjust your pace when necessary. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

- Post-secondary education in electronics or equivalent
- Vehicle license categories BE and CE
- Analog/digital technology
- Good computer and IT system proficiency
- Electrical license A/B
- Experience in troubleshooting
- IFTEX supervisor training

The overarching task of the Marine Base is to support the naval units with logistics such as transport, basing, guard duty, and healthcare, both domestically and abroad. The Marine Base is headquartered in Karlskrona but operates where needed, for example in Berga/Muskö, south of Stockholm, and in Gothenburg. Other major tasks for the Marine Base include monitoring Sweden's 2,700 km long coastline and territorial waters.
