Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both the city and the countryside, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå (Backen). The health centers collaborate closely within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional traffic facilitate commuting to, from, and between our units.

We are now looking for a District Nurse or a basic-qualified Nurse for a fixed-term position at Backen Health Center.

Backen Health Center, part of Primary Care West, is located on Umedalen in Umeå and has approximately 45 employees. Here, a knowledgeable and experienced staff works together to develop methods that promote patient safety, accessibility, and a good working environment. The unit has a clinical teaching clinic and is involved in a project to develop research within primary care.

Job Responsibilities

Your work with us will primarily focus on the core tasks of primary care. This includes receiving acute and scheduled clinic patients and working in telephone advice. When working with acute patients, we work in a team with district doctors and assistant nurses.

Qualifications

We are looking for a District Nurse or a basic-qualified Nurse. Education in open healthcare and experience from working in primary care are meritorious.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a team but also has the ability to work independently. You seek new ways to improve existing functions and processes, are motivated by improvement work, and have a solution-oriented approach. You are outgoing and enjoy building good contacts and relationships.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01, end date: 2027-11-30.
Working hours: Daytime.
