Nyhemsskolan is a comprehensive school covering grades F-9 as well as a special needs school. The school is located close to both the city center and forests and nature. We invest heavily in creative learning environments, both indoors and outdoors. The school has a varied playground with an associated school forest. There are two fully equipped craft workshops on campus.

Approximately 550 students attend Nyhemsskolan, divided into three units: Nyhemsskolan F-6, Nyhemsskolan 7-9, and the special needs school. Your future responsibilities

The role of a teacher in wood and metal crafts involves responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessment in the subject for students in grades 3-9 in the comprehensive school and grades 1-9 in the special needs school. Teaching is conducted in half-classes, and there are good opportunities for collaboration with other craft teachers at the school, both in textile crafts and wood and metal crafts.

It may also become relevant to teach in one or more other subjects, depending on your preferences and the needs of the operations.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in wood and metal crafts with experience and good pedagogical insight. As a person, you are calm, stable, responsible, flexible, and structured. You find it easy to collaborate and build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have the student at the center and take into account the students' different needs and prerequisites.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
