Tool Technician / Toolmaker – Focus on Stamping and Plastic Tools

Thule Group is in a continued phase of strong growth and is now looking for a Tool Technician/Toolmaker on a full-time basis for our unit in Hillerstorp. We have recently established ourselves in the manufacturing of plastic tools and are in an expansive development phase within this area. Therefore, we are looking for you who have broad knowledge of tool manufacturing and want to help develop our operations further.

About the role

As a Tool Technician/Toolmaker, you will work with both stamping tools and plastic tools. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assembly and commissioning of new tools
• Fixtures and prototype tools
• Active work on improvements and development of our tool solutions, especially within plastics.
• Addressing acute downtime issues
• Continuous maintenance and troubleshooting of tools

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have documented experience in tool manufacturing and good knowledge of plastic manufacturing and plastic tools. You are accustomed to working with computers and preferably have experience in reading drawings and using various measuring instruments. As a person, you are solution-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills, while being driven to develop and improve working methods and processes together with your colleagues.
