About the role

Our mission is to develop and manage Region Västernorrland's communication channels, and to provide support in communication matters to the region's management and operations. Together, we develop the organization's communicative capabilities.

We are now looking for an Information Officer/Web Editor for a fixed-term temporary position. You will have significant responsibility and the freedom to plan your work yourself. You will be part of a team that manages the region's websites and 1177. You will strengthen the management of the region's websites during a period when we begin a project aimed at rebuilding the external website from scratch. You will be a project member for part of the project.

The focus of the assignment will be on quality-assuring the content on the existing website ahead of the transition to the new one, with the goal of ensuring that only current and relevant information is available, presented in a way that makes it easy for users to navigate and understand. The position is a full-time temporary assignment starting immediately until 2026-12-31.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that content on the external website is current and relevant, in dialogue with content owners.
• Participate in identifying improvement needs regarding content and functionality.
• Conduct needs analysis and requirement gathering for the web project.
• Create and adapt content for the region's external website; tailor to target groups, ensure accessibility, and publish.
• Review and follow up to ensure the website meets quality requirements.
• Provide assistance in other tasks within the web administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has a university degree in Media and Communication Studies or equivalent.
• Has knowledge of web publishing systems and tools.
• Has good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience in editorial work with large websites and knowledge of requirements for digital accessibility.
• Have specific experience working with Optimizely and/or Sitevision as publishing tools.
