ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER FOR RESTAURANT HEAVEN

Perched high atop Romeleåsen in Scania, just a half-hour east of Malmö on one of the region's highest peaks, lies The Lodge – a place where flavors, views, and world-class service go hand in hand.

Both an international audience and local food lovers flock here to experience understated luxury in a tranquil setting, right in the heart of the wilderness.

We are now looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who loves service, people, and a fast-paced environment – and who wants to be a key player in our team at Restaurant Heaven, where we serve Afternoon Tea Parties, business lunches, and a seasonal evening menu made with local ingredients and flavors that guests will remember long after they leave our dining room.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You report to our F&B Manager, Jesper Sandqvist, and take responsibility for daily operations when he is not on site. You are a leader who thrives close to both guests and staff, and who enjoys working alongside the team during the evenings.

You inspire and coach your staff, lead by example in hospitality, and ensure that the guest experience remains at the highest level – present, humble, and solution-oriented. You work closely with the head waiter, sous-chefs, chefs, and head sommelier to ensure a seamless flow, and you have a unique opportunity to develop as a leader in food, beverage, and high-level service.

You are responsible for the atmosphere in the restaurant and inspire the team to meet and exceed our key performance indicators – with a strong focus on suggestive selling.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for you who are a natural leader with a passion for service and guest experiences. At our restaurant, we are open 365 days a year, and the work is primarily scheduled for evenings and weekends.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience from the restaurant industry, preferably as a head waiter or in another leading service role.
  • Experience in leading and inspiring a team to achieve set KPIs – regarding guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and economics.
  • Good knowledge of food and beverages, preferably with an interest in wine.
  • Experience from similar concepts – seasonal fixed menus, wine packages, and a genuine interest in telling the story of the food and the origin of the ingredients.
  • Familiarity with booking systems and cash handling.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • A valid driver’s license (Category B) and access to a car (if you do not live within cycling distance).

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

  • Lead and coach the service team during evenings and weekends.
  • Responsible for daily operations and a seamless flow when the F&B Manager is not on site.
  • Ensure the highest level of hospitality and guest experience.
  • Drive suggestive selling and follow up on KPIs together with the team.
  • Handle bookings, scheduling, and cash register.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and sommelier for a holistic experience.
