Octowood AB, with 55 employees in Kälarne, Jämtland, is a subsidiary of Rundvirke Industrier, Sweden's largest special timber group. The group is characterized by a strong focus on quality from raw material procurement to sales. Octowood manufactures poles for agricultural purposes as well as power line poles. Rundvirke Skog supplies the group's industries with raw materials. AB Rundvirke saws quality timber into solid window blanks, glued window blanks are manufactured by Rundvirke Komponent, and Östanåsågen saws timber products. Impregna produces power line poles, railway sleepers, and bridge products. Rundvirke Poles is the sales company for power line poles within the corporate group.

We are now looking for new employees for our production operations.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SHIFT OPERATORS

Job Description

As an operator with us, you will work with the manufacturing and impregnation of our fence posts, electricity and telecommunications poles, as well as other products requested by our customers. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Feeding machines
• Processing our products
• Process monitoring
• Monitoring and rectifying disruptions
• Checking products to ensure correct quality
• Packaging of finished products
• Simple repairs and troubleshooting

Working hours are currently scheduled for morning and afternoon shifts according to a rotating schedule, but other shift forms may become relevant.

Who are you?

Experience from the manufacturing industry is meritorious but not a requirement. We look for someone who is responsible, engaged, meticulous, and self-initiative. You have good teamwork skills and thrive working in a group. You are positive and solution-oriented. To thrive in this role, you should find it easy to follow routines, absorb instructions, and quickly learn new technology.

About the Employment

Salary according to local agreement with the GS union. Full-time position with a 6-month probation period.

To ensure a safe and secure working environment, alcohol and drug testing may be included as part of the recruitment process. NOTE! The tests are conducted via breathalyzer (blow test) and not blood tests. The alcohol test only concerns impairment at the time of the test. PEth testing is not used.
