Are you a meticulous, proactive, and experienced mechanic looking to work in a safe, developing, and customer-focused environment? JBM in Östersund is now seeking a mechanic to join their team – a role where you will work broadly with maintenance, repair, assembly, and technical support. Here, you will be part of an experienced group that has been improving industrial environments since 1989 through solutions in conveyor systems, process ventilation, and industrial vacuuming.

At JBM, you will have the opportunity to develop, take on more responsibility if you are driven, and contribute to long-term customer relationships. The role involves daily contact with customers and sometimes includes elements of consultative sales. Overnight stays in other locations may be required.

As a mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machines and facilities. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and customers. The role also includes the assembly and installation of new equipment as well as documentation of completed work.

Job responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems and components

• Preventive maintenance according to service plans

• Assembly and installation of machines and equipment

• Welding and metalworking (no license required)

• Daily customer contact and relationship building

• Consultation and upselling as needed

• Vocational training in industry, mechanics, or another relevant field

• Practical experience in industrial maintenance and repair

• Some welding knowledge

• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

• Familiarity with following industrial safety procedures

• Driving license B

• Training/certificates in:

• Hot Work

• Mobile Platforms

• Fall Protection/Harness

• Experience in welding, metalworking, or workshop work

• Good understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and rotating equipment

• Basic electrical knowledge (troubleshooting)

• Experience from process-heavy or manufacturing industries

• Experience in customer contact, service, or technical consulting

• Ability to work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and in a team
