RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help develop the Water and Wastewater (VA) operations at Uppvidinge Municipality? If so, we can offer you a meaningful and varied job where you contribute to a secure and sustainable water and sewage supply.

As a Water and Wastewater Engineer, you will have a broad and developmental role with many points of contact. You will work with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, including pipe networks, waterworks, and treatment plants, and handle customer cases related to water services as well as taking necessary measures. You will conduct investigations and studies, plan for the renewal of the pipe network, and lead investment projects where you also act as the client. The role also includes responsibility for system management of the pipe program and participating in the development of our work processes.

You will work in an engaged team consisting of operations technicians, a Water and Wastewater Engineer, and an administrator, where collaboration and knowledge exchange are a natural part of everyday life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is engaged, structured, and solution-oriented. You thrive working both independently and in a team, and have the ability to prioritize and make well-founded decisions.

We prefer that you have an engineering degree in road and water construction, water and wastewater technology, or other relevant education. Alternatively, you have several years of experience in the water and wastewater sector that is considered equivalent. You have good computer skills and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A driver's license for manual cars is required. Experience from public sector work is meritorious. Personal suitability is highly valued. Category B driver's license is required.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-08-17. Appointment can be made on an ongoing basis, end date: 2027-08-31.
Working hours: Daytime.
